Products

Products allow you to organize multiple assets and sub-products into cohesive projects, supporting both internal and third-party components.

Creating a Product

1. Go to Products in the left menu.
2. Click Create Product in the top right.
3. Enter product details.
4. Click Create to confirm.

Adding Items to a Product

1. Navigate to the Product Details page for the product you want to modify.
2. Go to the Inventory tab to view the current sub-product hierarchy.
3. Click Add Item.
4. In the modal, choose either the Assets or Products tab depending on what you want to add.
5. Select one or more items. You can see each item's name, version, supplier, and whether it is already part of the current product. For products, you can also see the number of items they contain.
6. Click any item's link to open it in a new tab for more detail.
7. Confirm your selection. The new sub-products or assets will appear in the Inventory tab.

Removing Items from a Product

1. On the Product Details page, go to the Inventory tab.
2. Select one or more top-level sub-products or assets from the hierarchy.
3. Remove the selected items. The Inventory tab will update to reflect the change.

Note: You can only remove direct children of the current product, not items deeper in the hierarchy.

Downloading a Product SBOM

1. Go to Products and select your target product.
2. Click Download in the top right and select SBOM.
   • If you would like to change the format of your SBOM (e.g. from SPDX to CycloneDX, or vice versa), click Download and then SBOM (CycloneDX) or SBOM (SPDX). In the modal, you can select the format you would like to convert to. Please note that conversion may result in some data loss or changes.
   • If your product contains more than one type of SBOM (e.g. a mixture of both CycloneDX and SPDX formats), you will need to convert all to a single format when downloading a combined SBOM.
